Description

This semi-closed deck EJ257 shortblock features forged internals and is rated to handle up to 575 BHP. Key components include seasoned EJ257 case halves, JE forged pistons (with other options available), Outfront Motorsports Tuff H Beam +2mm long rods, King Performance bearings, and a 2017+ Subaru 2.5L nitride-treated STI crankshaft. The package also includes rear covers, a rear seal, and pin plugs. Outfront Motorsports emphasizes quality control in their assembly process, which is performed in-house within a clean room. Blocks are bored and honed using torque plates, with all tolerances double-checked, and all parts meticulously cleaned and inspected prior to assembly. No core is required for this engine build.
