The Cat Cams 5502420 is a performance camshaft pair crafted from steel billet, engineered for the Renault F4R.730 engine. This camshaft set is specifically designed for the Clio II models equipped with VVT, including the 172/180hp variants of the 2.0L 16v DOHC engine. The camshafts feature a Renault Sport Group N profile, developed to meet competition rules and machined to the maximum allowed limits. The intake camshaft has a duration of 269° at 0.1mm lift and 231° at 1.0mm, with a valve lift of 11.25mm and cam lift of 5.70mm. The exhaust camshaft offers a duration of 256° at 0.1mm lift and 220° at 1.0mm, with a valve lift of 10.25mm and cam lift of 5.20mm. The intake lobe angle is 124° (108°), while the exhaust lobe angle is 108°. It's crucial to ensure adequate clearance between valves and pistons when the VVT system is engaged. While originally designed for Group N rules, Cat Cams also offers other part numbers (5502428, 5502438, and 5502421) that may provide better performance for street tuning. Some popular Catcam products may have a lead time of approximately 3-4 weeks; confirmation of delivery time is recommended before ordering.
