The Forgeline GS1R-6 wheel is engineered for the demands of professional racing, specifically for teams competing in the IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge Grand Sport (GS) class. This one-piece monoblock wheel is precision-machined from a single forging of 6061-T6 aluminum, offering a blend of lightweight construction and superior deflection stiffness essential for endurance racing. It boasts a robust load rating of over 2100 lbs for street tire applications. Key features of the GS1R-6 include advanced I-beamed spoke technology, contributing to extreme stiffness and fatigue strength, along with a new chamfered outer lip designed to facilitate easier wheel changes. Forged from 6061-T6 aluminum, this wheel is also designed with generous brake clearance. Compared to the standard GA1R street wheel, the GS1R-6 can offer an additional pound of weight reduction per wheel, depending on size and offset. This wheel is specifically designed for vehicle applications utilizing 6-lug hubs. The GS1R-6 is custom-made-to-order in the USA, allowing for tailored specifications to match vehicle requirements and intended use. Optional Open Lug Center Caps can be fitted, but require special machining of the GS1R-6 for a proper fit, which must be specified at the time of order.
