Description

The Garrett GT1749V Stage 1 Turbo Upgrade is a performance-oriented replacement or upgrade turbocharger specifically designed for Volkswagen 1.9L TDI ALH Engines. It is notable for its industry-exclusive pneumatic actuator, which includes a position sensor that allows for automatic communication with the vehicle's Engine Control Unit (ECU). This feature ensures seamless integration and optimal performance. By effectively lowering exhaust gas temperatures, the Garrett VW TDI Kit contributes to a longer turbo and engine lifespan, as well as increased overall reliability. The kit includes increased compressor flow over stock and can support an estimated 175hp with appropriate fueling and tuning. A separate EGR adapter tube and a compressor outlet adapter are required for installation. This turbocharger is not available to ship to California.
