GT1R Air/Oil Separator Kit

The T1 Race Development GT1R Air/Oil Separator (AOS) Kit is engineered to combat oil contamination in the intake tract, a common issue that hinders performance, especially in boosted applications. In stock configurations, oil film on turbo inlets and intake runners can lead to detrimental effects such as oil deposits on valves and reduced intercooler cooling efficiency, potentially causing detonation. These issues are compounded with increased horsepower, looser engine clearances from forged pistons, and the use of ethanol fuels which can compromise ring seal. As blowby increases with higher power output, so does the amount of oil carried with it, often resulting in a messy engine bay and oil sprayed from the blow-off valve. The GT1R AOS features a two-stage separation system with detailed internal passages to effectively separate larger and smaller oil droplets from the air. This fully recirculated, maintenance-free system eliminates oil smells, as the extracted oil is returned to the engine. Unlike non-recirculating systems that can introduce odors into the cabin, the GT1R AOS maintains a clean environment. The kit includes a three-piece CNC-machined AOS, anodized black with an engraved GT1R logo. It utilizes Viton o-rings for sealing and AN o-ring boss ports. A 6AN check valve at the bottom allows for oil drainback while preventing crankcase pressure from feeding the AOS. Mounting is facilitated by supplied stainless steel hardware and a CNC aluminum bracket. The complete installation kit features pre-assembled lines with Redhorse Products black anodized crimp hose ends and black AN hose.
