GT3082R Dual Ball Bearing Turbocharger

The Garrett GT3082R, also referred to as the GT3040R, is a high-performance dual ball bearing turbocharger assembly. It combines the robust GT35R (82mm) compressor wheel with the more responsive 60mm turbine wheel from the GT30R series, making it an excellent choice for smaller engines requiring significant airflow for high horsepower output. This turbocharger features an 82mm compressor wheel with a 56 trim and a 60mm turbine wheel with an 84 trim. It is equipped with dual stainless steel ball bearings for enhanced durability and reduced friction, along with an oil and water-cooled center section for optimal thermal management. The unit is capable of supporting approximately 580 horsepower. The GT3082R is a more efficient alternative to older "T" technology turbos, offering quicker spool-up, greater reliability, reduced shaft movement, and improved flow dynamics. It comes as a complete core assembly (CHRA - center housing rotating assembly), which includes the compressor wheel, turbine wheel, and running gear within the cartridge. This unit is fully balanced from the factory and carries the manufacturer's warranty.
