The HKS GT4845 GT Sports Turbine Kit is engineered for the Honda Civic Type R FK8 and FL5 models equipped with the K20C engine, specifically for the 2017/09 - 2022/08 model years. Its optimal size ensures no fuel system upgrade is required, and its direct-fit design means no modifications are needed, utilizing the same layout as the factory turbo for a seamless installation. The GT4845 excels at maintaining boost pressure at higher engine speeds. Testing at Fuji Speedway demonstrated a notable +12 km/h increase in top speed (from 232 to 244 km/h) and a reduction of 3 seconds in lap time. For those seeking to maximize performance, remapping the ECU is recommended, although the turbo can function without it. An optional Intercooler Kit is available separately for users pursuing higher power levels safely. The kit includes all necessary gaskets for the turbo, exhaust, intake, water lines, and oil lines, along with studs and bolts for a complete turbo replacement. Performance data indicates that with the HKS Mastery ECU PHASE3 (available in Japan), the kit achieves a 19kW (64ps) increase over stock, maintaining similar primary exhaust pressure for smooth power delivery without over-straining the engine.
