The VIS Racing GTC Style Carbon Fiber Hood is meticulously engineered for the 2006-2007 Mitsubishi EVO 9 4-door model. Crafted from 100% ISO-certified, Grade-A carbon fiber, this hood combines lightweight construction with enhanced durability. It features a two-part design where the top layer of carbon fiber is bonded with high-grade epoxy resin and finished with an ultra-clear, UV-protective Poly Shield polyurethane coating for a high-gloss appearance. The underside is a smooth, one-piece shell that significantly improves structural integrity, and the edges are hand-smoothed for a quality finish. VIS Racing utilizes an advanced Vacuum Infusion Process (V.I.P.), which employs a single-mold vacuum to produce parts that are 10-20% lighter than previous models while increasing durability. This manufacturing innovation allows customers to benefit from superior products without a substantial cost increase. For safety and proper function, hood pins are required with this carbon fiber hood. It is intended for off-road use only, unless local and state laws specify otherwise.
