Crafted from 100% ISO-certified, Grade-A carbon fiber, this hood utilizes a two-part construction design. The top layer is meticulously bonded to the hood surface with high-grade epoxy resin, then finished with an ultra-clear, UV-protective Poly Shield polyurethane coating to ensure a lasting high gloss. The underside features a one-piece, smooth shell fused to the top layer, significantly increasing the product's structural integrity. The edges are hand-smoothed for a quality finish all around. VIS Racing has further improved their manufacturing process by introducing the Vacuum Infusion Process (V.I.P.). This method employs a single-mold vacuum to produce parts that are 10-20% lighter than previous iterations while simultaneously enhancing durability. The company is transitioning its entire range of carbon parts to the VIP process to offer these advancements without a substantial cost increase. Each VIS Carbon Fiber Hood comes with a distinct VIS badge of authenticity. Due to the intended use of this product, hood pins are required.
