The VIS Racing Carbon Fiber Hood GTS Style is meticulously engineered for the BMW 3 Series (F80) M3 4DR, model years 2015-2018. This component is constructed from 100% ISO-certified, Grade-A carbon fiber, utilizing a two-part design bonded with high-grade epoxy resin. It is finished with an ultra-clear Poly Shield, a UV-protective polyurethane coating that ensures a lasting high-gloss aesthetic. VIS Racing employs the Vacuum Infusion Process (V.I.P.) in its manufacturing, resulting in a hood that is 10-20% lighter than standard hoods, reducing unsprung mass and enhancing durability. The one-piece, smooth underside shell contributes to structural integrity and a refined appearance that complements the M3's aggressive stance. Owners have praised the perfect alignment with OEM panels and improved aerodynamic performance. However, important considerations for installation include the requirement for hood pins.
