GTX3071R Gen 2 Turbocharger

The Garrett GTX3071R Gen 2 turbocharger represents the next evolution in Garrett's GTX line, boasting significant updates and new technology. This enhancement is the result of proprietary computer simulation and CFD analysis, optimizing wheel design for peak efficiency and mass airflow. Engineered for 1.8L to 3.0L displacement engines, this turbocharger supports power outputs ranging from 340 to 675 HP. It features an 8mm dual ceramic ball bearing cartridge, which significantly reduces shaft motion for enhanced turbo response and long-term reliability. The GEN II GTX Series turbochargers are constructed with fully-machined compressor inlets, outlets, and ported shrouds for precise tolerances. While GEN II compressor housings are not interchangeable with GEN I wheels, all GEN II turbochargers are outline interchangeable with their GT and GTX GEN I counterparts, simplifying installation with existing piping. The new compressor housings also include a fully machined speed sensor port, ready to accept an optional Garrett Motion speed sensor for detailed operational monitoring crucial for fine-tuning. The speed sensor port is factory-plugged and can be removed with a 5mm Allen key. All GEN II GTX series turbochargers are compatible with existing GT and GTX turbine housing kits. Performance results are contingent upon vehicle modifications and tuning. The horsepower figures represent potential flywheel horsepower calculated based on the compressor map's choke flow capability.
