These connecting rods are constructed from a proprietary Carrilloy alloy and feature an H-beam design for a balance of strength and reduced weight. The set includes WMC bolts made from H11 tool steel, rated to 220 KSI, and suitable for 15-18 torque cycles. These rods are intended for use with aftermarket upgraded pistons only.

While factory B58 connecting rods are forged, they are primarily designed for street use. For significant power gains, high boost levels, and high RPM operation, upgrading to these PRO-H rods is recommended to prevent engine damage. These connecting rods are crafted from CP Carrillo's proprietary Carrilloy alloy, featuring a robust H-beam design that optimizes strength while minimizing weight. Each set is equipped with WMC bolts, constructed from H11 tool steel with a 220 KSI rating, providing durability for 15-18 torque cycles. Key specifications include a big bore end of 2.1102" (53.600mm), a rod length of 148mm center-to-center, a 22mm pin diameter, and a 3/8" bolt diameter. The total rotating and reciprocating weight is listed at 606g/427g/179g respectively. It is important to note that these connecting rods are designed exclusively for use with aftermarket upgraded pistons. This product fits various BMW models equipped with the B58 3.0L engine, including M240i, 340i, 440i, X3 M40i, X4 M40i, X5, X6, X7, 740i, 840i, and M340i, as well as the Toyota Supra.
