The Eagle Specialty Products EAGCRS61353D H-beam connecting rods are engineered for Chevrolet Big Block engines, specifically for displacements of 396, 427, and 454 cubic inches. Constructed from high-strength forged 4340 steel, these rods are built to withstand the demands of high-performance applications and maintain critical engine horsepower. Each rod measures 6.135 inches from center to center and features a 2.200-inch rod journal. The pin bore diameter is .990 inches, with a pin end width of 1.125 inches and a big end width of .990 inches. They come equipped with 7/16" ARP 8740 bolts and are bushed for full-floating piston pins, with ARP 2000 bolts available as an option. The recommended torque specification for these bolts is 63 ft-lbs. While these connecting rods are essential for maintaining horsepower, especially in modified engines aiming for higher power output, it is noted that all items are not for use in pollution-controlled vehicles. The advertised horsepower rating for these rods is 700 HP. A set of 8 rods has a typical weight of 14.75 lbs (or 780g per rod).
