H-Beam Connecting Rods for 2.0T TSI EA888 Gen 1 & 2

The Integrated Engineering IERHVT2 forged connecting rods are engineered for VW and Audi EA888 Gen 1 & 2 TSI engines, particularly when upgrading to larger turbos or increased boost. Constructed from vacuum-drawn 2-piece 4340 chrome moly steel with an upgraded H-beam design, these rods are built to withstand significant power increases. Each rod features a 21mm wrist pin diameter, designed for use with aftermarket 21mm pistons exclusively. They are honed in-house to exacting tolerances and balanced to within +/- 1 gram for reliability. The set includes IE Spec ARP 2000 rod bolts, stamped with "IE" for authenticity. Optional forced pin oiling (rifle drilling) is available for enhanced wrist pin longevity. These rods are rated to support 700HP on 4-cylinder engines. For installation, it is recommended to use new connecting rod bearings and ensure proper bearing tang orientation (facing the exhaust side). The included ARP 2000 3/8" bolts require a specific torque sequence: torque to 50 ft/lbs, loosen, and re-torque three times, or use a stretch gauge to achieve .006" of stretch. These connecting rods are compatible with a range of Audi and VW models from approximately 2006-2015, including the A4, A5, Q5, A6, TT, A3, Q3, GTI, Jetta, Jetta SportWagen, CC, Passat, Eos, and Beetle, all equipped with the 2.0T TSI EA888 Gen 1 & 2 engines (engine codes CCTA, CCZA, CCZB, CBF, CBFA, CAEB). A critical fitment note is that these rods are only compatible with factory 21mm tapered wrist pin pistons and are not compatible with aftermarket pistons.
