H-Beam Connecting Rods, Forged 4340 Steel

The ZZPerformance 4340 connecting rods are a set of four H-beam style rods constructed from forged 4340 steel, engineered to endure high levels of power and engine speed. Each rod in the set undergoes rigorous quality control processes, including magna-fluxing, heat treatment, stress relieving, shot peening, and sonic testing to guarantee the strength necessary for demanding, high-horsepower applications. ZZP employs exclusive “no twist” machining processes to ensure exceptional parallelism between the pin and big ends. For easier engine balancing, these connecting rods are weight-matched to within +/- 1.5 grams. They come pre-installed with silicon bronze bushings for compatibility with floating wrist pins. The set includes bolt lube and torque specifications, detailing a torque value of 30 ft-lbs (41 Nm) when using ARP Ultra-Torque Fastener Assembly Lubricant. These connecting rods are specifically designed to fit the following vehicles: 2011-2016 Chevy Cruze (gen1), 2012+ Chevy Sonic, 2014+ Chevy Trax, and 2013+ Buick Encore, all equipped with the 1.4L LUV/LUJ/LUH engines.
