H-Beam Forged Connecting Rod Set 700HP

The Integrated Engineering IE-144X21 connecting rods are engineered to reinforce the blocks of VW and Audi EA888 Gen 1 & 2 TSI engines, particularly when upgrading to larger turbos or increased boost pressure. These rods are forged from a vacuum-drawn, two-piece 4340 chrome moly steel construction, utilizing an H-beam design that significantly enhances strength, durability, stiffness, and rigidity compared to weaker factory units. Each connecting rod is individually optimized using computer analysis to precisely match unique VW/Audi engine applications, considering factors like cylinder pressure. They are honed in-house to exacting tolerances of within 250 millionths of an inch, ensuring proper bearing operation. The rods are balanced to within +/- 1 gram and undergo dimensional and magnaflux inspections for extreme reliability. Optional forced pin oiling (rifle drilling) is available for extended wrist pin life. These connecting rods require the use of aftermarket pistons with a 21mm wrist pin diameter exclusively. They are not compatible with aftermarket pistons. Installation requires careful attention to detail, including the use of new connecting rod bearings and proper bearing tang orientation (facing the exhaust side of the engine). For ARP 2000 3/8" rod bolts, the recommended torque is 50 ft/lbs, or a stretch of .006" measured with a stretch gauge, using only the included ARP assembly lubricant. The IE-144X21 rods are compatible with a range of Audi and VW models from approximately 2006 to 2015, including the A4, A5, Q5, TT, A3, Q3, GTI, Jetta, CC, Passat, and Beetle, specifically for EA888 Gen 1 & 2 engines (engine codes CCTA, CCZA, CCZB, CBF, CBFA, CAEB). An asterisk indicates that these engines require factory 21mm wrist pin tapered pistons only.
