This shifter features a short and extremely precise shifting travel, confined to an approximately 65 x 65 mm pattern, making gear changes under stress or in curves significantly easier. The design prioritizes driver focus by positioning the shift lever optimally close to the steering wheel. Constructed for durability and low weight, the shifter utilizes high-strength materials. Milled and lathed components are made from 7075 aluminum alloy, while the substructures are laser-cut from 3 mm thick AlMg3 aluminum. These parts are expertly joined using the WIG welding process and finished with a brushed surface. This universal kit is compatible with vehicles equipped with 5 and 6-speed Getrag and ZF transmissions, supporting both standard H-pattern and Dog Leg configurations. The reverse gear lock is activated via a cable reel system from the shift lever, preventing accidental engagement. An integrated center position spring provides excellent feedback during gear changes. Installation includes all necessary small parts and fastening materials for adaptation to the BMW switch rod. It is important to note that this shifter is intended for vehicles without interior equipment or a center console. A TÜV parts certificate is available, facilitating legal use in road traffic after assessment by a testing organization, though local regulations should be verified.
