The spring is manufactured using special lightweight (hf) 54SiCr6 spring steel and an extremely high tensile strength wire alloy, allowing for the use of a thinner wire. This construction results in a spring that is on average 15% lighter with 10% more travel compared to standard springs for a given rate.
