H-Series Main Bearing Set, .001" Extra Oil Clearance

The Clevite MS2199HX H-Series main bearings are engineered for high-performance LS engine applications. Constructed with a robust tri-metal design, they feature steel backings with a copper-lead alloy layer and a precision electroplated white metal overlay, providing superior durability and load-carrying capacity. These main bearings are grooved with a 1/2 groove style and offer an increased oil clearance of .001" over standard bearings. This extra clearance is beneficial for added oil flow and can accommodate certain engine builds. The H-Series bearings are known for their high crush factor, medium eccentricity, and enlarged chamfers, making them suitable for demanding applications. However, it is noted that Clevite H-series bearings are not recommended for use on non-forged crankshafts. Designed as a direct replacement for GM LS-series engines, these bearings are compatible with V8 displacements including 4.8L, 5.3L, 5.7L, 6.0L, and 6.2L (LS1, LS2, LS3, LS6).
