The Acuity Instruments Hall Effect Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) is engineered as a superior replacement for the OEM sensor in select Acura RSX Type-S and Honda Civic Si models. Unlike the factory wiper-style design prone to wear and unreliable readings, this sensor employs modern Hall-Effect technology. This contactless approach significantly enhances precision and reliability, offering consistent measurements resistant to engine vibrations. The robust housing is constructed from a fiber-reinforced composite and includes an integral o-ring seal, providing greater durability than stock components. Designed with a focus on performance and longevity, the Acuity TPS is tested to over 2 million cycles. The Hall-Effect technology, combined with an on-board signal processor, delivers a smooth and consistent voltage output. This results in improved engine responsiveness at tip-in, a more stable idle, and enhanced throttle response, particularly beneficial for vehicles with aftermarket engine mounts. The sensor offers an extended calibration range to ensure precise tuning within the OEM specifications.
