HALO V2 PPF and Vinyl Wrap Coating

The Gtechniq HALO V2 Flexible Film Coating is engineered to provide up to two years of protection for Paint Protection Film (PPF) and vinyl wraps. It employs advanced weatherproof composite siloxane technology, creating a chemically bonding, ultra-dense, yet flexible film that integrates with the surface of your wrap. This coating acts as the permanent exterior layer, offering robust defense against daily environmental challenges. HALO v2 significantly improves the performance of PPF and vinyl by enhancing their natural dirt and water repellency due to its low surface energy. It also offers crucial protection against staining from dirt ingress and mitigates yellowing caused by UV ray exposure. A key advantage of the V2 formulation is its simplified application, requiring only a single layer instead of the previous two, which saves time and effort while making maintenance easier. Rigorous testing has confirmed HALO v2's compatibility with all types of gloss, matte, and satin vinyl and PPF, including the latest self-healing and pre-treated hydrophobic films. This ensures broad applicability and consistent performance across various finishes. The coating's primary function is to maintain the PPF's aesthetic condition and simplify the cleaning process for vehicles that have undergone PPF or vinyl application. Application requires the vehicle to be indoors for at least 12 hours post-application. Proper surface preparation is crucial, involving washing, decontaminating with Gtechniq W5 and W6, and then wiping down with a 30% isopropyl alcohol (IPA) solution to ensure maximum chemical bonding. The product should be applied evenly in overlapping strokes to small sections (approx. 2ft x 2ft) using the provided applicator pad. Residue should be removed immediately with an MF1 cloth, working from the outside in. A final check with a bright, diffused light source is recommended to identify and remove any missed high spots. The product has a shelf life of 12 months unopened, or 3 months once opened, and should be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid direct application onto paint or rubber surfaces.
