The Alpine Halo9 iLX-F409 is a digital multimedia receiver that brings a large 9-inch capacitive touchscreen to your dashboard, designed to fit within a standard single-DIN opening. This receiver offers extensive smartphone compatibility, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, allowing seamless access to navigation, music, and calls. It also supports Bluetooth for hands-free calling and audio streaming, as well as Pandora and Spotify control. Beyond smartphone integration, the iLX-F409 handles a wide range of media formats, playing MP3, WMA, AAC, and FLAC music files, along with AVI and MPEG4 video files. For audio customization, it features a 5-band graphic equalizer with time correction, high- and low-pass filters, and Alpine's MediaXpander HD technology. Expandability options include compatibility with SiriusXM tuners, an optional 2-camera switcher, a rear USB port, an HDMI input, and a rear-view camera harness. The unit provides 6-channel preamp outputs for a robust audio system. Installation and operation require some considerations. A wired connection to the parking brake is necessary to access settings, video playback, and other features, necessitating a sequence of setting, releasing, and re-setting the brake.
