The Flyin' Miata Happy Meal is a comprehensive clutch and flywheel kit designed for 1990-05 Mazda Miatas, including 1.6L engines. This kit has been improved with a new friction disc design, featuring a thinner disc and a lower profile marcel spring, which reduces the necessary pedal throw and minimizes the need for frequent pedal adjustments. The Happy Meal includes a Flyin' Miata clutch and flywheel, along with essential components like a clutch switch override, pilot bearing, and release bearing. Customers can choose between two clutch specifications: Level 1, rated for 318 lb-ft of torque, suitable for stock or Stage 1 engines, and Level 2, with a higher pedal pressure and a 353 lb-ft torque rating. Both levels utilize a steelback copper woven organic friction material. Installation recommendations include bypassing the starter interlock on the clutch for easier starting and to benefit the thrust bearing, with a provided clip for simple implementation. It is also strongly advised to replace seals (rear crank seal, transmission input gasket for 5-speed transmissions) while the transmission is out, and the use of a specialized installation tool for the rear crank seal is recommended to prevent potential issues.
