The FM Happy Meal is a comprehensive clutch and flywheel kit designed for 1990-05 Mazda Miata models, including those with 1.6L engines and MSM variants. This kit features a Flyin' Miata clutch and flywheel, along with a clutch switch override, pilot bearing, and release bearing. The Level 1 clutch option is rated for up to 318 lb-ft of torque and offers near-stock pedal pressure with smooth engagement, suitable for stock engines. For higher demands, the Level 2 clutch boasts a 353 lb-ft torque rating and a firmer pedal feel, designed to handle significant power without slipping. Both clutch options utilize a durable steelback copper woven organic friction material. Installation recommendations include bypassing the starter interlock for easier starting and to reduce wear on the thrust bearing, facilitated by an included clip. It is also advised to replace seals during installation, with a specialized tool recommended for the rear crank seal. Note that 5-speed transmissions require a transmission input gasket, while 6-speeds do not. The Level I clutch and disc assembly weighs approximately 11.75 lbs, resulting in a total rotational weight of about 22 lbs. The Level II clutch is slightly heavier by about 0.5 lbs. A lightweight flywheel may introduce minor, harmless drivetrain noise during closed-throttle deceleration.
