The IE Harsh Climate 5" Oiled Air Filter & Sock Upgrade Kit is engineered to enhance engine protection in dusty conditions, such as dirt roads or sandy beaches, for vehicles equipped with IE 5" velocity stack intakes. This comprehensive kit provides a three-stage filtration process to ensure optimal air quality for your engine. The core of the kit is a performance air filter with an upgraded 8-pleat construction, which increases the cotton density for enhanced particle capture. To further safeguard the intake, a pre-filter sock is included, acting as a final barrier against contaminants. Maintenance of the filter involves washing with mild soap and water, followed by thorough rinsing and air drying. Replacement oil can be sourced from any standard filter oil kit, with a caution not to over-oil the filter. This kit is a direct replacement for various IE air intake systems, including specific models for Audi and VW vehicles such as the IE MQB 2.0T/1.8T Gen 3 Cold Air Intake (IEINCI11), IE Carbon Fiber Intake System For Audi B9 S4 & S5 3.0T (IEINCK3), and IE Cold Air Intake System For VW MQB Tiguan 2.0T (IEINCW1), among others listed.
