The Hawk Performance HB218G.583 is a set of front race brake pads featuring the DTC-60 compound. These pads offer excellent torque control, modulation, and release characteristics, making them suitable for high deceleration rates. They operate effectively in a temperature range of 400-1600 F, with an optimal range of 700-1100 F.

The DTC-60 compound is designed for very low abrasive rotor wear and is compatible with iron/metal rotors, but not carbon ceramic rotors. It provides high torque and is a popular choice for lighter weight front axle applications, including those with or without ABS.
