The Hawk Performance HB543G.760 are DTC-60 race compound brake pads designed for extremely high deceleration rates and increased downforce applications. They are not recommended for street use due to their aggressive nature and optimal operating temperatures. These pads offer superior release and torque control with very low pad and rotor wear, making them a popular choice for various motorsports including NASCAR, ARCA, Super Late models, Sports Car/GT/GS, and Open Wheel/Formula racing. They are typically used as front pads on lighter vehicles like the Miata and S2000, or as rear pads on heavier vehicles such as Corvettes, Mustangs, Porsches, and BMWs when a split friction setup with DTC-70 front pads is desired. The optimal operating temperature range is 600-1200°F, with a stable friction output from 400-1600°F. These pads are compatible with iron/metal rotors and should not be used with carbon ceramic rotors.
