Increasing the performance of your vehiclea (TM)s braking system is easy when you choose Hawk Performancea (TM)s HPS braking compound. The High Performance Street compound offers a higher coefficient of friction over stock brake pads and can provide you 20 to 40 percent more stopping power and higher resistance to brake fade than most standard replacement pads. Less fade means you will have better pedal feel and more consistent performance in a durable brake pad that generates less brake dust.

MIA's Description

Hawk's HP Plus Sport Pads (Enhanced Compound) are designed for use on the road, as well as provide a high level of performance at an Autocross or Track Day event. This enhanced compound improves wear for longer pad life, offers an extremely high friction level for responsiveness and resistance to brake fade, and is suitable for autocross and track day events with elevated temperature resistance. These pads display lower pad wear and noticeably improved rotor wear over the previous HP Plus (Original Compound) while exhibiting less temperature sensitivity, for improved modulation and driver confidence. All HP Plus products manufactured after July 16, 2018, are manufactured with the new, enhanced compound. Due to the aggressive nature of this pad compound, increased noise and dust should be expected over other street compounds. Brake pads are wear items and should be inspected regularly and replaced when approximately 1/8th inch of friction material remains on the steel backing plate. Proper bedding-in of new brake pads with new or used rotors is crucial for maximizing brake performance.
