Hawk Race Compound Brake Pads

The Hawk HB522G.565 Brake Pads are part of the DTC-60 race compound, engineered for extreme conditions such as high deceleration rates and increased downforce. These pads are recommended for serious racers who have experienced issues with less aggressive compounds overheating or lacking sufficient bite. They are designed to work with Iron/Metal rotors and offer a wide operating temperature range of 400-1600 F, with an optimal performance range between 600-1200 F. Key characteristics include superior release and torque control, very low pad and rotor wear, high torque output, and stable friction output. The DTC-60 compound provides excellent modulation and release characteristics. It can be paired with DTC-70 pads when split friction between axles is desired. This compound is suitable for various racing disciplines, including NASCAR, ARCA, Super Late models, pavement circle track, Off Road Trucks, Sports Car, GT, GS, Open Wheel, and Formula racing. Due to their aggressive nature, these are not entry-level race compounds and should not be used for street driving. Specific applications include lighter cars like the Miata and S2000 (front) and heavier cars like Corvettes, Mustangs, Porsches, and BMWs (rear, often paired with DTC-70 in front).
