The Hawk HB112F.540 brake pads are engineered with the High Performance Street (HPS) compound, renowned for enhancing stopping power on street-driven vehicles. This Ferro-Carbon formula leverages aerospace and motorsports technology to deliver a higher coefficient of friction, providing 20-40% more stopping power and improved fade resistance over stock brake pads. The HPS compound offers a smooth braking feel, is gentle on rotors, and provides consistent release characteristics, contributing to extended pad life. With an optimal operating temperature range of 100-500 Deg F and an upper limit of 700 Deg F, these pads can handle spirited driving and even light track use, provided proper cool-down procedures are followed. It is important to note that this is not a dedicated race compound and cannot withstand prolonged high-temperature track sessions. Compatibility Note: The Hawk HB112F.540 rear brake pads are specified for 1984-1996 Chevrolet Corvettes and 1988.5-1997 Pontiac Firebirds.
