The APE HCK-08LB is a 2mm stroker crank kit designed for the Hayabusa. This kit utilizes a brand new 08 Hayabusa crankshaft that has been meticulously lightened and balanced to tolerances of less than 1/3 gram. The rod journals are fluted to ensure extra oil delivery to the rod bearings, contributing to longevity and performance. Key features of this kit include the inclusion of a counterbalancer gear removal and a spacer plate. When this kit is installed in a 1397 motor, it results in an increased displacement of 1441cc. The crankshaft undergoes a comprehensive machining process by APE to remove weight and narrow the counter-weights, a technique sometimes referred to as "knife-edging."
