HD 9" Ford Rear End Housing

The Strange Engineering HD 9" Ford Housing is a robust, bolt-in rear end solution engineered specifically for 1979-2004 Ford Mustangs. This heavy-duty housing is constructed from .141" mild steel, featuring a .282" thick face plate and internal gussets to ensure maximum rigidity and support for the axle tubes. The tubes themselves are made from DOM 1026 steel with a 3.250" OD and .250" wall thickness, and are internally and externally welded for superior strength. It also includes adjustable shock mounts offering 1.875" of adjustment across six positions, enabling ride height tuning without impacting suspension stroke. The integrated upper control arm mounts and lower control arm mounts with multiple hole locations provide versatility for suspension setup. The pinion offset is .625" to the passenger side, matching the OEM 8.8 housing. The housing ends are forged chrome moly and accept 3.150" bearings, with other Strange ends available.
