HD Aluminum Rear End Cover

The Strange Engineering R5201 is an LPW HD aluminum support cover engineered to enhance the performance and durability of GM 8.2" and 8.5" 10-bolt rear ends. Constructed from a thick aluminum casting, this cover significantly increases structural support for the differential housing. By reducing housing flex, it directly contributes to improved gear life and overall drivetrain longevity, especially under demanding conditions. This support cover is equipped with integrated jack screws. These screws allow for precise preloading of the main caps, effectively raising the threshold at which housing deflection can lead to catastrophic failure. Additionally, the R5201 features convenient fill and drain plugs, simplifying routine fluid maintenance and eliminating the need to remove the entire cover for servicing. It's important to note that while designed for GM 8.2" and 8.5" 10-bolt rear ends, this support cover will not fit BOP (Buick, Oldsmobile, Pontiac) rear ends. Proper fitment verification is recommended before installation.
