HD Diverter Valve

The IPD HD Diverter Valve is engineered as a robust upgrade to the factory compressor bypass valve (CBV), which is known to fail due to heat and high boost levels in TD04 applications. This diverter valve is crafted from aircraft-grade billet aluminum and features an alloy piston for superior durability and extended lifespan, preventing the common issues associated with factory rubber/plastic components. It offers a versatile 50% recirculate and 50% vent configuration, which helps keep the engine control system functioning correctly without triggering check engine lights by venting unmetered air. Additionally, an optional removable plate allows for a direct atmosphere vent, producing the desirable "whoosh" sound often associated with performance vehicles. The valve is adjustable, enabling users to fine-tune the bypass response to their specific setup. It provides significantly greater flow and more consistent response compared to the stock CBV, effectively eliminating turbo flutter and making it an essential component for high-performance builds. Installation typically involves using reinforced silicone intake and charge pipes with 25mm bosses or custom piping. A note for users with factory turbochargers: blocking the factory compressor bypass system is recommended when installing this HD Diverter Valve. This diverter valve is specifically designed for the Volvo S60R and V70R AWD models. It can also be installed with aftermarket turbochargers that do not have an integrated CBV.
