HD Ford 9" Bolt-in Housing

The Strange HD Ford 9″ Bolt-in Housing is engineered for durability and performance, fitting 1973-1987 Chevy C10 2WD, 1973-1987 Chevy K10 4WD, and 1973-1991 Blazer and Suburban models (2WD & 4WD). Constructed from .141″ mild steel, the center housing boasts a heavy-duty .282″ thick face plate. Internal gussets are incorporated to provide rigidity and support to the axle tubes, and special slots ensure exceptional weld contact between the housing and tubes. The housing also includes 3″ OD x .250″ wall tubing with brake line tabs, a vent to prevent internal pressure buildup, and HD leaf spring and shock mounts. The housing ends are forged steel and available in a choice of Strange ends. This housing is professionally jig welded to guarantee proper alignment and exceptional weld quality. It features convenient fill and drain plugs to facilitate fluid changes and allow for ring gear inspection. Please note that this housing will not fit OEM brakes.
