The Meyle HD front lower control arm bushing set is engineered as an upgrade for the factory bushings on select BMW E46 3 Series and E85 Z4 models. These bushings are a direct replacement for worn components that can cause steering wheel shudder, braking instability, and accelerated tire wear. Meyle HD utilizes a solid rubber construction in these bushings, which provides increased longevity over the original fluid-filled designs. By eliminating the fluid, there is no risk of leaks or evaporation, ensuring consistent performance and a significantly longer service life. While offering a slight improvement in steering feedback, their primary advantage is their durability, without increasing NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) beyond factory levels. This set includes two Meyle support arms and four screws. Installation requires reusing the original control arm brackets. It's important to note that these bushings fit with the later 66mm brackets; early 323i/328i models had 60mm brackets, though they may have been updated. Meyle HD also offers these bushings pre-pressed into new brackets as a separate option. Fitment includes BMW 3 Series E46 models from 1999-2006 (including 320i, 323Ci, 323i, 325Ci, 325i, 328Ci, 328i, 330Ci, 330i) and E85 Z4 models from 2003-2008 (including Z4 2.5i, Z4 3.0i, and Z4 3.0si).
