Description

The Dobinsons Gas Shock Absorber GS53-200 is an HD front twin-tube nitrogen-charged gas strut engineered to enhance vehicle handling and control, offering a significant performance upgrade over standard shocks. These shocks are designed, developed, and tested in Australia to endure extreme conditions. They feature a twin-tube big-bore design with larger bodies and bores, which effectively reduce shock fade and ensure consistent performance under heavy loads or harsh terrains. The double chromed 18mm rod provides increased strength and resistance to wear and corrosion, complemented by natural rubber bushings for improved ride comfort and noise reduction. A steel dust cover is included to protect against debris and extend the lifespan of the shock absorber. They can be used with stock coils or Dobinsons Lifted Coils. Important installation notes: Front struts must be seated completely down in the knuckle so that the welded brake line bracket is firmly seated against the knuckle; failure to do so could cause deflection or damage to the strut. Replacement one-time use OEM parts will be required from the dealer for correct installation, along with specialized tools. Professional consultation is recommended.
