HD High Density Intercooler for N20/N55

The VRSF Performance HD FMIC is an upgraded front-mount intercooler engineered to replace the factory unit in N20 and N55 BMW engines. Its core utilizes a proprietary VRSF HD bar and plate design with a staggered and offset internal and external fin pack. This construction provides a significant increase in surface area, allowing for greater heat absorption and dissipation. The result is a reduction in charge air temperatures, especially crucial for tuned vehicles where increased boost levels can cause OEM intercoolers to heat soak, leading to reduced horsepower and potential pre-detonation. Available in two core sizes – a 5" Stepped Performance Core (up to 600whp) and a 6.5" Competition Core (up to 800whp) – this intercooler is designed to be a direct bolt-on upgrade. It boasts an 87% larger surface area than the OEM intercooler and is designed for quick and easy installation, typically under 1.5 hours. Additionally, each intercooler is pressure tested and treated with a thermal dispersant coating for enhanced durability and a leak-free experience. This intercooler fits a wide range of BMW models, including the F22, F23, F87, F30, F32, F33, and F36 chassis with N20 and N55 engines. It is compatible with Left Hand Drive (LHD) and Right Hand Drive (RHD) models, as well as all XI variants. However, it is important to note that F23 and F33 models are limited to the 5" Street Core only.
