The Clevite MAHLE MS804H20 is an H-Series high-performance main bearing set. These bearings are designed for high-revving engines and are constructed of tri-metal cast copper lead with a steel back for support and an electroplated babbit overlay on the running surface. They feature higher eccentricity and a high crush factor to compensate for high-load factors and distortion. The oil grooves on most applications extend all the way around both halves for better oiling. Clevite H-Series main bearings are an ideal design, producing a degree of conformability, embedability, slipperiness, and fatigue resistance not typically found in original equipment or competitive bimetal bearings. The specific MS804H20 set is for Oldsmobile V8 engines (350 Diesel/400/425/455ci, 5.7/6.6/7.0/7.5L) from 1965-1985 and has a -.020" undersize, with full annular grooves on positions 2, 3, 4, and 5.
