HD Intercooler Upgrade Kit

The VRSF HD Intercooler Upgrade Kit is engineered to replace the OEM intercooler in select BMW models equipped with N20, N26, and N55 engines, aiming to maximize performance by improving charge air cooling. The kit utilizes a proprietary High Density bar and plate intercooler core, which features a staggered and offset internal and external fin pack. This design significantly increases the surface area for enhanced heat absorption and dissipation compared to the stock tube-and-fin intercooler, which is often inadequate for tuned engines. With options for a 5" Performance HD core (supporting up to 600whp) or a 6.5" Competition HD core (supporting up to 800whp), this intercooler can lead to noticeable reductions in intake temperatures, even after a hard pull. It is designed to be a direct bolt-on replacement, including all necessary hardware for an installation that typically takes less than 1.5 hours. The cast end tanks are CFD optimized to work seamlessly with factory and most aftermarket charge pipes, and the kit retains the factory fan shroud. A thermal dispersant coating is applied after pressure testing for added durability and protection against the elements. This intercooler upgrade is specifically designed for a range of BMW F-chassis vehicles, including the 2012-2018 F30/F31/F36 3 Series (320i, 328i, 335i), 2012-2018 F32/F33 4 Series (428i, 435i), 2014-2018 F22/F23 2 Series (228i, M235i), 2012-2018 F20/F21 1 Series (various models including M135i), and the 2016-2019 F87 M2. It is compatible with both Left Hand Drive (LHD) and Right Hand Drive (RHD) models, as well as all XI models. However, note that F23/F33 models are limited to the 5" Street Core option only.
