The Bosch HDP-6 TU high-pressure fuel pump (HPFP) is an OE-quality performance component engineered in Germany for Gen 1 B58/B48 BMW and Toyota Supra engines requiring enhanced fueling. This pump represents a significant upgrade over the stock HDP-5-EVO, increasing its displacement from 0.954 cc/rev to 1.178 cc/rev and boosting maximum pressure capability from 250 bar to 350 bar. This makes the HDP-6 TU a popular and straightforward plug-and-play solution for tuned or modified B48/B58 applications where increased fuel delivery is necessary to support higher performance levels. Tuning is essential to fully realize the performance gains offered by this upgraded fuel pump. Installation on Gen 1 B58/B48 engines requires a minor modification: the connector housing for the fuel quantity control valve will need to be rotated. Alternatively, an extension harness can be used, though rotating the connector is generally a simple process. The pump is compatible with most BMW, Mini, and Toyota Supra B48/B58 variants, including models like the 330e, 340i, 740i, 230i, and the A90 Supra.
