The Honda HDS HIM diagnostic tool offers comprehensive diagnostic capabilities for Honda and Acura vehicles manufactured between 1992 and 2022. With its latest software version V3.102.004, it provides access to VIN reading, IMMO functions, and the CAN BUS system, enabling Auto ECU reprogramming. The tool is PC-based and connects via a Z-TEK USB 1.1 to RS232 converter, making it compatible with computers lacking a traditional COM port. The diagnostic functions supported include reading and clearing fault codes, displaying current parameters, managing executive devices, and performing special functions like programming. It also supports OBD-II protocols for broader vehicle compatibility. The software supports multiple languages including English, Spanish, French, Korean, and Chinese. Special attention is required regarding antivirus software, as it may flag the diagnostic software as a threat; this is a standard false positive and requires adding the software to an exclusion list or temporarily disabling the antivirus. If the package includes a pre-installed hard drive, remote activation is necessary before first use. Attempts to duplicate or clone the software from the pre-installed hard drive will void the warranty.
