HEAD ASM-CYL (W/ VLV)

America's favorite high-performance cast iron small block cylinder head, offering significant horsepower gains (20-40 HP) over earlier cast iron small block heads. Features fast-burn combustion chambers, high-velocity ports, 1.94" intake and 1.50" exhaust valves, 64cc combustion chambers, 170cc intake runner volume, and 61cc exhaust runner volume. The head comes fully assembled with valves, springs, retainers, and 3/8" rocker studs. It can be mildly ported, milled up to .040" for increased compression, and valve seats can be machined for larger 2.02" intake and 1.60" exhaust valves. Requires a Vortec style intake manifold and self-aligning rocker arms. Compatible with small block Chevrolet engines (265, 283, 302, 305, 327, 350, 400 cubic inches) produced from 1955 to present. Excludes LT1/LT4 reverse coolant flow engines and current LS1 style engines.
