Head Stud Kit

The SPELAB Head Stud Kit is engineered to ensure robust cylinder head sealing for 1989–1998 Dodge 5.9L Diesel 12-Valve engines. Manufactured from 42CrMo high-strength alloy steel, these studs are built to withstand extreme heat, pressure, and vibration, offering enhanced durability and reliability. With an impressive tensile strength of 220,000 PSI and a yield strength of 210,000 PSI, they effectively prevent head lift, gasket failure, and cylinder head distortion. This kit is an ideal upgrade for daily drivers, towing applications, and high-performance or turbocharged builds that experience increased cylinder pressures. The precision machining ensures proper alignment and improved sealing compared to standard bolts. The kit includes 6x M8 studs (83mm), 14x M12 studs (146.3mm), 6x M12 studs (200mm), 6x M12 studs (97mm), 26x 12-point nuts, 26x washers, 2x sockets, an Allen wrench, and assembly lubricant. Note: Installation requires a rocker pedestal modification to accommodate the shorter rocker pedestal bolts included in the kit.
