The ARP Pro Series 234-4317 is a head stud kit manufactured by ARP from premium 8740 chromoly steel. It is heat-treated to 200,000 psi and features thread rolling after heat treatment for improved fatigue tolerance. It is designed for all 2004 and newer LS engines, including LS1 and LS6.

The ARP 234-4317 is a high-performance head stud kit engineered for 2004 and newer GM LS engines. Constructed from premium 8740 chromoly steel, these studs are heat-treated to a tensile strength of 200,000 psi. The manufacturing process includes thread rolling after heat treatment, which significantly enhances the studs' fatigue tolerance compared to those threaded prior to heat treatment. This kit ensures precise installation with exact tolerances, allowing gaskets and cylinder heads to glide into position and align perfectly. This kit is specifically designed for LS engines that utilize all same-length head bolts, differentiating it from earlier 1997-2003 LS engine bolt configurations. Ensure compatibility with your specific LS engine application, as GM used different head bolt lengths in various model years. This kit is intended for engines employing ten 100mm bolts and five 45mm bolts, as found in many 2004-2013 LS applications.
