Description

The ARP 208-4303 head stud kit is engineered for Honda/Acura B18C1 VTEC engines, specifically the 1994-2001 Acura Integra GS-R. Constructed from premium-grade 8740 alloy, these studs are heat-treated to a tensile strength of 200,000 PSI, ensuring complete heat penetration and superior durability compared to lesser quality components. ARP's meticulous process includes centerless grinding to achieve exceptional straightness and thread rolling *after* heat treatment. This critical step enhances fatigue strength by approximately 1000% over studs threaded before heat treatment. Each kit includes ARP head studs, parallel ground washers, 8740 chromoly steel 12-point nuts, and a .5 oz. pack of ARP Ultra-Torque fastener assembly lubricant. These components work together to provide a stronger, more even clamping pressure, reducing the likelihood of gasket failure during demanding applications. ARP offers a warranty on their products. For installation, it is recommended to clean all threads in the block and chase if necessary with an ARP Thread Chaser to ensure proper thread engagement and accurate torque readings.
