The ARP 204-4206 head stud kit is engineered for Porsche 911 and 930 Turbo SS applications, specifically designed to replace all 24 factory studs. This comprehensive kit includes everything needed for a secure engine rebuild, featuring 24 8740 Chrome Moly studs, 24 parallel ground washers, 24 8740 Chrome Moly 12-point nuts, and a specialized Ultra-Torque Fastener Assembly Lube. Constructed from high-strength 8740 Chrome Moly, these ARP studs boast a tensile strength of 200,000 psi. A key manufacturing advantage is that the studs are thread-rolled after heat treatment, resulting in approximately 1000% (10x) greater fatigue strength compared to studs threaded before heat treatment. This advanced process, though more costly, significantly enhances durability and reliability. This kit is compatible with all air-cooled Porsche 911 engines from 1965 to 1998, covering displacements from 2.0L through 3.8L, and specifically includes 930, 964, and 993 models.
