Overview

It is constructed from 2" OD mild steel tubing with a .125" wall thickness and features mandrel-bent tubing throughout. The header includes an engine-to-pipe flange laser cut from 7/16" thick flat steel, along with outlet flange gaskets, bolts, and nuts.

This header can be used as the foundation for a custom streetable exhaust system and can be integrated with Racing Beat's Street Port Center Section Pipe for 1979-1985 12A & 13B engines (excluding GSL-SE) or 1984-1985 GSL-SE models. An Air Control and Check Valve Cover Plate is required for use with a stock intake system.

The Racing Beat Road Race Header is the initial step in constructing a high-performance exhaust system for your vehicle. Engineered for racing applications, this header is crafted from durable 2" OD mild steel tubing with a robust .125" wall thickness. It features a mandrel-bent design throughout for optimal exhaust flow. The header's engine-to-pipe flange is precision laser-cut from 7/16" thick flat steel, ensuring a secure and efficient connection. It comes complete with outlet flange gaskets, bolts, and nuts to facilitate installation. Please note that an engine-to-header gasket is not included but is available for separate purchase. For integration with a stock intake system, an Air Control and Check Valve Cover Plate (available for 1979-80 or 1981-92 models) is required. This Road Race Header serves as an excellent base for building a custom streetable exhaust system and can be easily swapped with street exhaust systems in cars from 1971-92. It is designed to bolt directly onto the Street Port Center Section Pipe offered by Racing Beat for 1979-1985 12A & 13B engines (excluding GSL-SE) and 1984-1985 GSL-SE models.
