The Racing Beat header is a precision-engineered exhaust collector assembly designed for 1986-1991 non-turbo Mazda RX-7 models. Constructed with .120" wall, mandrel-bent, mild steel tubing, this header features 2-inch primary and 2.5-inch secondary diameters to ensure durability and enhanced noise suppression. The unit includes 7/16-inch thick laser-cut steel flanges for positive gas sealing and comes equipped with an integrated oxygen sensor fitting. This combined assembly replaces the factory exhaust manifold, all catalytic converters, and intermediate tubing sections, bolting directly up to the factory Y-pipe. An outlet gasket is included, while an engine-to-header gasket is available separately if needed. This header is specifically intended for non-turbo applications. For engines utilizing a carburetor intake system, this header configuration provides significant performance improvements. If your vehicle is equipped with a fuel-injection system, the manufacturer suggests using a Racing Beat Catalytic Converter Replacement Pipe with a Presilencer, which offers comparable performance gains and a quieter exhaust note.
