The BMW Genuine Parts telescopic nozzle acts as a direct replacement for the headlight washer cylinder in vehicles equipped with the optional headlight cleaning system (HLC). This cylinder is responsible for pushing the washer nozzle out during the cleaning cycle. If your existing nozzle remains stuck in the retracted position or fails to retract after use, this replacement cylinder restores proper system functionality. This unit is an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) part designed for a precise fit on 1999-2006 BMW E46 3 Series models and the E46 M3. It is sold individually and is compatible with either the left or right side of the vehicle. Please note that this part is specifically intended for E46 models originally equipped with the HLC system; it is not compatible with vehicles that lack this optional equipment. Each vehicle requires two of these cylinders to operate the cleaning system. The washer nozzles themselves are sold separately and are not included with this cylinder. Proper operation of the system relies on both the cylinder and nozzle functioning in tandem.
